Finalization of the Noord/Zuid metro line: last stage before final commissioning
The finalization of Noord/Zuid metro line, focusing on transportation technology and construction detailing, is the last large contract to be tendered in the project. The contract will encompass the realization of the rail and track systems and related technical infrastructure along the line, as well as finalization of all metro stations. This includes installations such as escalators and elevators, lighting, and several other technical solutions.
Start of the work
Work is planned to start in spring 2012. In the preceding period, the design, works preparation and procurement will be executed by VIA NZL. At the end of 2015 the final construction is to be completed and - after a period of testing and test driving - the Noord/Zuid metro line is expected to be commissioned in 2017.
