Imtech technology partner in Euro 2012 football stadiums in Poland

Polish National Stadium in Warsaw
Imtech has been commissioned to provide the hightech climate technology in the Polish National Stadium in Warsaw. This stadium will have a seating capacity of 55,000 and a 1,750place underground car park. Imtech is responsible for the power supply, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitation and fire safety, with an option for extra technical facilities. This stadium will be the main stadium for Euro 2012 and will host the opening match, two group matches, one quarter final and one semi final. The arena will be ready in May 2011 and after the European Championship will be used for sports events and commercial activities.
PGE Baltic Arena in Gdansk
The PGE Baltic Arena has seating for 44,000 spectators and is designed in the form of a giant piece of amber. This multifunctional stadium is suitable for a wide variety of events, concerts and congresses and will host four matches during Euro 2012 (three group matches and one semi final). In the immediate area of stadium a swimming pool, offices, shops, hotel and parking facilities for 6,500 cars will also be realised. Imtech is responsible for the hightech climate technology, which includes innovative applications in energy, heating and cooling, ventilation and fire safety. Imtech will also be providing the technology for the water supply, drinking water, waste water and the swimming pool. The PGE Baltic Arena will open at the end of 2010.
Other related Polish orders
The coming of Euro 2012 has also opened doors to other investments in the builtup environment. Recently Imtech was able to win orders worth 37 million euro for all the technical solutions in a new hightech building (the Zebra Tower in Warsaw), an energyefficient hotel (the Best Western in Breslau) and various retail centres (in Nowe Sacz and Wroclaw).
Imtech also technology partner for Olympic Stadium in London
In August 2009 Imtech announced it had won the order for the extremely energyefficient climate technology in the new sustainable Olympic stadium for the 2012 Olympic Games in London (seating capacity 80,000).
