Imtech strengthens ICT position in Switzerland with acquisition of IT&T

Reinforcing partnership with Microsoft

(PresseBox) (Gouda, ) Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) announces the acquisition of Swiss ICT company IT&T, Information Technology & Trust AG, via its German ICT business unit, Infoma® Software Consulting. The purchase price (including earn-out) is based on six times the EBITA and will be paid in cash. IT&T will contribute directly to the earnings per share. The management of IT&T will stay on after the acquisition.

IT&T Profile
IT&T is a full-service ICT service provider and Microsoft partner with almost 15 years' experience in the provision of total solutions for integrated financial services and accounting, including consultancy. It offers a comprehensive package of soft- and hardware services, based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, to a growing customer portfolio of some 20 prestigious Swiss municipalities and cantons (counties). The customer portfolio includes the Baden and Lucerne municipalities and the canton of Zug. IT&T is based in Rotkreuz in the canton of Zug and expects to realise an annual revenue of some 1,2 million euro.

Synergy
The Imtech-business unit Infoma® is a leading party in Germany and offers the public sector software solutions and services for financial service provision in the form of integrated total solutions for government accounting, reporting and budgeting. Some 750 German cities, municipalities, cantons and public institutes - a total of more than 50,000 users - make use of the services of Infoma®. Imtech intends to offer this booming form of ICT service in Switzerland as well and is creating an excellent basis for that via IT&T.

Imtech is already active on the ICT market in Switzerland through its business unit Fritz & Macziol Schweiz AG, partner of both IBM and Microsoft. The reinforcement through IT&T makes it possible to offer a more complete form of ICT services, based on the most comprehensive range of both IBM and Microsoft-based solutions. In this regard, IT&T will operate as a fully-fledged Imtech subsidiary.

Imtech's strategy
Imtech offers total solutions through the combination of electrical engineering, ICT and mechanical engineering. The share of information and communication technology in this is rapidly increasing. Imtech's total technical solutions are becoming increasingly dominated by Business Intelligence and the co-ordinating ICT applications. Expansion of its European ICT activities is mainly aimed at reinforcing Imtech's position as business partner to both Microsoft and IBM. Imtech has the ambition to develop into one of the strongest partners of both IBM and Microsoft in the short to medium term. The acquisition of IT&T fits perfectly within this strategic framework. Recent acquisitions include the UK-based ICT company and IBM partner, REAL Solutions.
