Imtech receives orders for 46 million euro in Spain

(PresseBox) (Gouda, The Netherlands, ) Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) announces that it has won several new build and maintenance projects in the Spanish buildings market. New orders were received for a total of more than 46 million euro.

New orders from a growing base of regular customers

Imtech focuses on technological services to a growing base of mostly regular customers. This specific approach proved to yield growth. Recently new projects were started in the various regions for existing customers including Metrovacesa-Sacresa, Bovis Lend Lease, Sacyr, Eralan and Institut Català d'investigació Química.

In Barcelona and Madrid, Imtech started with the mechanical engineering (HVAC, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) and building automation in the new shopping centres 'Las Arenas' (Barcelona) and 'Alcalá Magna' in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). In Barcelona Imtech gained a new order for the 'Mandarin Hotel' and in Madrid for the 'Rafael Hoteles'. Moreover, Imtech is involved in the new Sport Club 'Arsenal' in Madrid and an enlargement of the chemical research centre 'Institut Català d'investigació Química' in Barcelona.

Maintenance is growing fast

Imtech has been active for many years in the buildings market in and around the important economic regions of Madrid, Valladolid, Barcelona, Valencia and since 2007 in Seville. The separate maintenance services unit is doing very well. On the maintenance market, which is dominated by large contractors, there is a clear need for a professional technological services company that has maintenance of technical solutions as its core business. A new maintenance philosophy was launched and the order portfolio is increasing fast with orders from new clients like Grupo Sar, Bami Newco and National Institute of Physical Education of Cataluña.

The strategy is aimed, on the one hand, at acquiring maintenance contracts for ongoing or completed Imtech projects, like large recently maintenance contracts acquired for the recently finished 'Espacio León Shopping and Leisure Centre' in León and the 'Scientific Complex of Cataluña' in Barcelona. On the other hand Imtech was successful with acquiring new maintenance contracts like four Hotels in Barcelona from Accord Hotels and all offices in Cataluña from Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya (a Spanish job creation organisation).

Imtech has a growing and broad portfolio in offices, shopping centres, museums, conference centres, hotels and special buildings like research centres and laboratories.
