Imtech: breakthrough in the market of large power plants
In the conventional coal-fired power plant to be built for RWE in Hamm in Germany, Imtech is responsible for the planning and implementing of the technical infrastructure in the periphery surrounding the power plant and in the related buildings. Imtech will among others implement high-tech solutions for smoke exhausting, aeration, ventilation, heating and cooling, temperature control and process control. Both the two power stations in Germany and the Netherlands consist of two power station blocks with an electrical performance of 800 MW per block. The current delivery shall be carried out as of 2011 or 2012.
Imtech is developing more and more into a leading technical services provider with a wide range of technical solutions both for energy production and energy savings. Last year, Imtech realised almost 550 million euro revenue in the energy market (nearly 17% of the total revenue of 3,346 million euro). A few examples are: the technological infrastructure of biomass power plants and decentralised cogeneration systems, thermal energy, energy storage, the technical infrastructure for energy-efficient 'green' offices, taking full responsibility for all energy solutions and improving clients' energy infrastructures, as well as the development of environment-friendly power systems for the technical upgrading of oil and gas fields.
