Oliver Schweers joins IMPERIAL

Oliver Schweers (47) has been managing the business at the Luxembourg company known as IMPERIAL Shipping GmbH and its subsidiaries IMPERIAL Pushbarging Lux S.àr.l., IMPERIAL Liquid Shipping Lux S.àr.l. and IMPERIAL Dry Bulk Shipping Lux S.àr.l. since 1 June this year. He also became Managing Director of IMPERIAL Trans Lux S.àr.l. and LEHNKERING Shipping Lux S.A. Schweers is managing the business at these companies together with the current director, Andrés Davids. In this position, Schweers takes over from Rainer Tadsen, who is retiring on 1 October this year. Oliver Schweers is a fully qualified lawyer and had been working for the Sovereign Group since 2003, most recently as the Managing Director of Sovereign Direct GmbH and as Director HR (authorised signatory) at Sovereign Network GmbH, which has its headquarters in Hamburg.

IMPERIAL Logistics International has pooled the lion’s share of its shipping activities in its companies based in Luxembourg. Oliver Schweers’ new tasks include developing the shipping activities to an even greater degree. He also bears responsibility for the 650 employees, who work on board the vessels.
