Jakob Hedén to manage the IMPERIAL branch in Shanghai(PresseBox) (Duisburg, )
IMPERIAL Logistics International has had its own company in China, IMPERIAL Shanghai, since 2012. The original trigger for the move to China was an original major customer in the Retail & Consumer Goods business unit; IMPERIAL Shanghai supported its expansion in Asia with logistics services. In addition to this, the company established its business on a broader footing. The range of operations provided by IMPERIAL Shanghai now includes freight forwarding services for overland, sea or air freight traffic, warehousing, customs clearance and organising integrated supply chain solutions.
The company is also certified in China as a Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC). It has other customers in the chemical and steel industries. The company operates its own warehouse in the Baoshan district of Shanghai and can make use of a network of eleven other warehouses in various Asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea along the industrially developed coastal zones.
