New 'ILX Connect' service launched to help organisations maximise their return on investment in e-learning
...Customised portal to help optimise the take up and management of online learning programmes...
The new ILX Connect service enables learners, managers and administrators to make the best use of their e-learning experience by providing online training support, hints and tips and additional resources like monitoring tools to help organisations get the most out of their ILX e-learning license. The service also aims to help organisations to avoid some of the classic obstacles to the successful roll out and management of e-learning programmes, which often arise through lack of planning, communication and monitoring.
Eddie Kilkelly, Chief Operating Officer at ILX Group, commented, "This service is the result of many years of experience from working with early adopters through to e-learning becoming the norm for many organisations. Adoption rates are among the most tangible early evidence of an e-learning programme's success and if usage rates are initially low, then some in the organisation will perceive that the online learning programme is not working. ILX Connect reduces that risk, by creating a tailored plan specifically designed to raise awareness, promote the benefits of courses and accelerate the uptake of e-learning. What's more, every portal is customised to each organisation's specific requirements, with ILX providing training for administrators so they can master the available functionality and derive the optimal benefit."
ILX Connect allows administrators to manage each learner on the portal and communicate directly with their line managers. Administrators may add new users, run progress reports, book examinations and communicate with learners through the portal home page, which can be customised and changed as and when necessary. Learners can access ILX Connect from home, work or anywhere that they have internet access in order to access their training and valuable support materials to assist them with their learning. Furthermore, individual learners are able to communicate with other participants from within their organisation via their home page.
Kilkelly adds, "The main aim of any training programme is to improve organisational productivity and increase efficiency. As markets become increasingly global, modern learning platforms must enable organisations to deliver learning and manage the acquisition of knowledge among geographically dispersed audiences across multiple locations. ILX Connect makes a significant impact by increasing the initial uptake, usage and completion of the learning available. This empowers learning administrators and managers to identify and act at an early stage when additional communication, motivation or direction is required to ensure the anticipated benefits are realised."
