Am 1. September 2006 begann die mit einem Durchmesser von 14,4 m gegenwärtig größte Hartgesteinmaschine der Welt beim Niagara Tunnel Projekt in Ontario, Kanada den Vortrieb aufzunehmen. Die Tunnelbohrmaschine wurde von der Fa. Robbins aus Cleveland, Ohio, geplant und gebaut.
