ID Development invites to the lecture: “How do I pass the passport enrolment?” at CeBIT 2006

(PresseBox) (Oberwil, Switzerland, )
More and more nations are introducing the new biometric passports (ePassports). Electronic data for biometric verification has become part of the passport content in addition to the regular data like name, residence, date of birth, photo or signature. For the success in biometric verification, the reference data has to be captured under standardized conditions.
But what kind of standards are we talking about? Can the same standards be applied to every person? Which picture will not be accepted? Will today’s application process be sufficient? Governments and citizens ask the same questions. Marcus Klische, an international expert for biometric technologies and their integration into complex business processes, will give a lecture at CeBIT about the challenges and difficulties of biometric data enrolment.
The first part of the lecture contains the answers to why standards are needed for the quality of recorded reference data. In the second part Mr. Klische will talk about the opportunities to improve the processes without making administrative procedures too complicated. Finally examples will be shown and followed by an open discussion.

You can visit ID Development at CeBIT, Hall 7 Booth D22/4d (CefIS-Area).

Within the CeBIT Marcus Klische holds a lecture with the title:

How do I Pass the Passport Enrolment?

All about the challenges of data capturing for passport enrolment. The lecture is on Friday, March 10th from 10.00 am til 11.00 am, Room 12 at the Convention Center (CC) inside the exhibition area.
