Beim Wunsch, große Entfernungen in bestehenden Ethernet Netzwerken zu überbrücken, stoßen Unternehmen im industriellen Umfeld in vielerlei Hinsicht an ihre Grenzen. Denn eine Installation neuer Glasfaserleitungen ist mit umfangreichen baulichen Maßnahmen verbunden, was teuer und aufwendig ist. Der neue ORing Extended Media Converter IMC-V111ET von ICP Deutschland bietet eine einfache und günstige Lösung. Hierbei wird ein 100Mbps Ethernet Netzwerk mittels einer 2-Draht Leitung erweitert. Bereits vorhandene 2-Draht Leitungen mit einem Drahtdurchmesser von 24AWG (0,25mm2) können hierfür verwendet werden. Distanzen von bis zu 2.400m werden dabei problemlos überbrückt.
