IceWarp to Become First Corporate Messaging Platform to Offer Dropbox Integration
Users can upload Dropbox-stored files in one click(PresseBox) (Springfield, )
"IceWarp was the world's first corporate messaging solution that offered the capability to send files of any size, using its proprietary SmartAttach feature," said Chris Knott, IceWarp Director of Technology. "In essence, it converts any file into an HTML link that is embedded into a message. Since the file itself is stored on the IceWarp server, the message doesn't' clog the network and size limitations on the recipient's sever do not affect it. We decided to expand this capability even further by offering Dropbox compatibility. Now users can extract a file from the application, attach it in the SmartAttach mode and deliver with confidence."
Depending on security requirements, IceWarp customers will be able to select large files management options: SmartAttach, Dropbox, or the combination of both.
"SmartAttach is essentially organizations 'internal Dropbox', wrapped up in multiple security layers offered by IceWarp," notes Chris Knott. "This is an excellent tool to transfer highly sensitive data. While SmartAttach is what most companies use when dealing with sensitive company data, the Dropbox integration is a great addition to further the end user experience when security is not a critical issue."
Dropbox compatibility extends new document management functions to be included in the IceWarp Messaging Server's upcoming version. Those tested recently allow organizations to edit and collectively review an array of documents directly from webmail, eliminating the need to adopt pricey platform with an array of rarely used functions.
A rare exception in the messaging space, IceWarp's architecture is based on universal standards, doesn't depend on any client and supports all mobile devices currently on the market.
IceWarp Messaging Server is IceWarp's flagship product - a highly integrated solution that includes Mail Server with dual Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus protection. The product also has add-on options such as the IceWarp GroupWare Server, Instant Messaging Server, Text Messaging Server, a unified WebClient interface, full mobile device synchronization and much more.
