Der japanische Marktführer bei elektrischen Linearachsen IAI hat den effizienten Umgang mit Energie als eines seiner Unternehmensziele seit 2008 definiert. Alle Maßnahmen sind unter dem Begriff "Green Automation" zusammengefasst. Der effiziente Umgang mit Energie wird ganzheitlich betrachtet. Ziel ist dabei nicht nur, die Produkte mit möglichst wenig Energieaufwand herzustellen. Vielmehr möchte IAI mit seinen Produkten und seinem Know-how auch dazu beitragen, bei seinen Kunden den Energieverbrauch zu minimieren.

Das Energieeffizienz-Label "Green Automation" kennzeichnet alle energieeffizienten IAI-Produkte, wie z.B. die elektrische Zylinderbaureihe RCP2 und Easy-to-use-Steuerung PMEC aus der RoboCylinder-Familie.
