The joint venture led by HOCHTIEF receives contract for EUR 48 million
The A5 North/Weinviertel motorway runs through the northeast of Austria from the Schrick junction through Wilfersdorf, Walterskirchen to Poysbrunn in the direction of the Czech border. The forth construction lot primarily encompasses the construction of a 6.6-kilometer-long route between Walterskirchen and Poysbrunn, eleven bridges, noise protection measures, and other facilities.
Approximately 1.6 million cubic meters of material will be removed over the course of the work. Some 600,000 cubic meters of this will be reused for fill. The rest will be used for terrain modeling outside of the building plot. Around 36,000 cubic meters of road concrete and approximately 50,000 tons of asphalt will also be used for the construction of the two-lane motorway plus an emergency lane.
