200.000 Euro für neuestes Robotik-Projekt der OTH Regensburg

Im Projekt KOMAT wird ein mobiler Roboter entwickelt

Künftig sollen Botengänge in großen Lagern oder zwischen verschiedenen Arbeitsstationen nicht mehr von Menschen erledigt werden müssen: Ein mobiler Roboter, der eng mit Menschen kollaboriert, könnte solche Arbeitsaufträge übernehmen. Innerhalb der nächsten beiden Jahre will die Regensburg Robotics Research Unit (RRRU) der Ostbayerischen Technischen Hochschule Regensburg (OTH Regensburg) unter der wissenschaftlichen Leitung von Prof. Dr. Thomas Schlegl einen kollaborationsfähigen Manipulator auf einem autonomen Transportsystem (KOMAT) entwickeln. Dazu wurde am Montag, 25. Januar, eine entsprechende Kooperationsvereinbarung mit dem oberbayerischen Technologieunternehmen cts GmbH unterzeichnet.

Gegenstand der Auftragsforschung werden Themen wie Bildverarbeitung, Greifer, koordinierende Steuerungen und Sicherheitssysteme sein.
