Unter der Bezeichnung MONSTER?- Multimedia Open InterNet Services and Telecommunication EnviRonment - stellt das Fraunhofer-Institut für Offene Kommunikationssysteme FOKUS,?Berlin, ab sofort eine Entwicklungsumgebung für IMS-basierte Multimedia Internet und Telekommunikationsdienste zur Testnutzung bereit. Als Plug-and-Play Plattform bietet MONSTER Entwicklern eine Umgebung zur Entwicklung von Mash-ups von unterschiedlichen Internet und Telekommunikationsdiensten wie Telefonie, Chat, Messaging, Social Networking und Kontakte­Management. Im Unterschied zu anderen IMS-Client-Frameworks ermöglicht MONSTER die komfortable Entwicklung von Diensten für eine große Anzahl von Betriebssystemen, ob es sich nun um Windows XP, Google's Android, Windows Mobile oder auch Linux handelt.
