Der Distributor Henskes Electronic Components vertreibt ab sofort die BD91xx-Serie von Rohm. Das besondere Merkmal liegt darin, dass die Serie von Abwärtswandlern Rohms proprietäre SLLM(TM) -Technologie (Simple Light Load Mode) sowie die Current-Mode-PWM-Technik integriert. Bei höheren Ausgangsleistungen bewirkt die Current-Mode-PWM-Regelung ein schnelles Ansprechverhalten. Sobald die Ausgangsleistung absinkt, sorgt die SLLM-Technik für ein Auslassen einzelner Impulse, um die Effizienz zu erhöhen. Durch diesen Dual-Mode-Betrieb wird ein höherer Wirkungsgrad unter allen Belastungszuständen erreicht. Besonders bei niedrigen Ausgangsleitungen übertrifft diese Methode die Standard-PWM-Regelung in Sachen Effizienz um 100 bis 200 Prozent.
