Computacenter implements a central solution to manage all of its master and product data. Europe's leading independent IT service provider and distributor, will now use Enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) from Heiler to make individual electronic catalogs available to its customers and, in particular, to its key accounts.

As Anja Günther, E-Business Consultant at Computacenter explains: "Heiler Product Manager is our central system for maintaining all master and product data". The Product Information Management system (PIM) coordinates all workflows of product management. In all, the Computacenter assortment comprises more than 170,000 ITrelated items, provided by CNET.com.

"As a market leader, our customers expect us to ensure best data quality. That contains all required images, short descriptions, marketing texts and product categories. Our main objective is therefore to optimize internal procurement, in particular for our major customers", Anja Günther continues.

Standardized interfaces allow Heiler Product Manager to be integrated directly into the existing SAP landscape."Our key accounts use their own procurement systems. We use Heiler Software to create electronic catalogs, for example in BMEcat format, which are directly integrated into our customers' purchasing processes", says Günther.Heiler Product Manager supports all customary standard formats and classification systems, including BMEcat, Datanorm, eCl@ss and ETIM.

Says Frank Schmidt, Director at Heiler Software: "Computacenter, one of Europe's leading B2B suppliers, has chosen our product suite. All of our solution modules are underpinned by high data quality combined with a centrally controlled transfer of flawless print and online catalog data".
