Haulotte North America celebrated its North American headquarters on March 23, 2016. Virginia Beach Mayor William D. Sessoms joined the leaders of Haulotte Group from France, along with major clients and partners from around the world for the official grand opening ceremony.

"We are now better positioned to deliver outstanding products and provide the required sales and service support, along with the quality training that this facility was designed for," said Claude Fuger, managing director of Haulotte North America, in a statement. "Our Virginia Beach facility now features the space and resources we had been looking for to maintain a competitive edge and to further demonstrate Haulotte Group's long-term commitment to North America."

Scott Hall, business development coordinator with Virginia Beach's economic development department, said that number is expected to grow.

The 83,000-square-foot facility at 3409 Chandler Creek Road supports the company’s executive offices, customer sales and service support, training center, and distribution functions of spare parts and finished goods. Additionally, the customer care center will oversee parts fulfillment, warehousing, pre-delivery inspections, and repairs.

Alexandre Saubot, COO of the Group, José Monfront, Executive Vice-President, Patrice Métairie, Industrial Director, Sébastien Martineau, CFO and Philippe Noblet, Corporate Secretary, came from France to thank their team and to celebrate the Grand Opening. Alexandre Saubot declared: "I enjoy to see that our efforts have a return on invest, we have a motivated team, who is customer focused, and fully involved in providing global solution to support the business of our customers"

Haulotte North America:

The company is a subsidiary of Haulotte Group based in L’Horme, France, the third-largest worldwide manufacturer of aerial work platforms such as scissor lifts and boom lifts. The new office is a relocation of its existing North America headquarters from Frederick, MD. Haulotte North America will continue to operate a 300,000-square-foot aerial work platform manufacturing and assembly plant in Archbold, OH, which also manufacturers scaffold and event equipment. The equipments made by Haulotte Group in manufacturing facilities in Ohio, China, France, and Romania will be distributed throughout North America through the new Virginia Beach headquarters.
