International experts in chip removal take part in two major events at Handtmann in Baienfurt

(PresseBox) (Baienfurt, ) In December 2013 international cutting industry experts met again at Handtmann A-Punkt Automation GmbH in Baienfurt to learn more about the latest developments and trends in 5-axis machining centres. As well as the "Handtmann Aerospace Days" for customers, the company also hosted for the first time the "International Handtmann Sales Conference" with 50 sales partners from around the world.

The annual Handtmann Aerospace Days enjoyed and outstanding record attendance in December 2013. International cutting industry experts met for the 9th time in Baienfurt for an attractive programme of information, experience and knowledge sharing on the Handtmann All-Around-Concept.

Under the theme of "Horizontal machining and automation", guests enjoyed the first chance to see all three series of the HBZ product line of 5-axis horizontal machining centres - the HBZ AeroCell, HBZ CompactCell and HBZ Trunnion - together with automation solutions in both live demonstrations and under construction To make the event a personal and exclusive experience, Handtmann's experts guided the participants through a tour covering machines under construction, live performances and speeches by suppliers. This allowed a direct dialogue between customers, Handtmann experts and suppliers in order to transfer expertise. The number of attendees was not the only record set at the event, the number of machines in the assembly hall was a record too - the assembly halls have never been so full before as at this event. Handtmann has even rented some additional external space in order to set up all the machines that are on order.

The second day of the customer event took place in cooperation with HAIMER GmbH from Igenhausen, a long term partner of Handtmann and a specialist in tool holding, tooling, balancing technology, shrinking technology and measuring instruments. The company is based in the Bavarian town of Igenhausen near to Augsburg and has about 350 employees worldwide. A guided tour in the family business and an interesting speech by the president Andreas Haimer clearly demonstrated to all guests the guests the quality that "Made by HAIMER" means. The varied programme made the 9th Handtmann Aerospace Days held in cooperation with HAIMER a valuable experience for the participants.

On the day before the Handtmann Aerospace Days, 50 participants from around the world took part in an international conference of sales representatives to share the latest news and technological advances from Handtmann. The strategic development process behind the HBZ Trunnion was a key focus as with this machine concept Handtmann A-Punkt Automation aims to establish a new standard series machine business alongside its existing project machine business.

This year Handtmann A-Punkt celebrates its 25-years jubilee as part of the Handtmann group so the 10th Handtmann Aerospace Days will celebrate this at the October 2014.
