Recently Handtmann A-Punkt Automation has appointed Andreas Leiner as co-managing director alongside Andreas Podiebrad.

Mr. Leiner will work in close cooperation with Mr. Podiebrad, who has been in his role since 1998, and will focus on production, service and purchasing, where he has extensive experience.

After studying economics and sinology Mr. Leiner held a number of senior management positions in technological organisations and gained international experience. After specializing in managing know-how transfer activities to and from low-cost countries he held several executive functions, including at Siemens, where he was responsible for purchasing departments in Europe and Asia in the sector of infrastructure equipment.

In his most recent role Mr. Leiner was Authorised Representative and Vice President focused on purchasing and technical sales for a major international machine building group with approximately 2000 employees.

In recent years Baienfurt-based Handtmann A-Punkt Automation GmbH has become one of the world's leading manufacturers of 5-axis high-speed and high performance machining centres. It has grown substantially and Mr. Leiner sees one of his main challenges in optimizing and adapting the structures and processes of Handtmann A-Punkt to this growth together with the team, and thus to further increase profitability. In doing so, the main focus is always on customers and their requirements.

Handtmann A-Punkt Automation GmbH welcomes Mr Leiner to his new role.
