HamaTech Sells 51 % of Its Shares of Slovakian Subsidiary

The HamaTech AG sells the majority in its Slovakian subsidiary in Nové Mesto. With effect from October 1, 2006, Böhm Fertigungstechnik – Slowakei s.r.o., a subsidiary of Böhm AG in Suhl, (BFT) will acquire 51 % of the shares from the HamaTech AG (HamaTech) at a price of € 1.9 million. In addition, BFT will assume the shareholder loan from HamaTech step by step. BFT is already operating an additional production facility in Slovakia and extends its activities with the purchase.

The Slovakian subsidiary has been producing equipment and modules for HamaTech and also for third parties - mainly from the semiconductor industry - since 1996. With the disposal of 51 % of the shares the company and its approximately 310 employees will no longer be included in the scope of consolidation of HamaTech and SINGULUS from the 4th quarter 2006.
The operating units of the STEAG Electronic Systems spol. s.r.o. are currently being transferred to the newly founded Böhm Electronic Systems Slowakei s.r.o.
