More than 15 years ago Hamamatsu Photonics produced the first imaging systems for macroscopic detection of bioluminescence based on photon counting cameras.Some system generations later Hamamatsu presents its improved multipurpose system for In-Vivo imaging applications - the AEQUORIA MDS.

The backbone of the AEQUORIA MDS system is its light tight darkbox, which offers features like a motorized heated stage or optional hoses for cables and pipes.For excellent image quality and detection of weakest emission signals either an ImagEM EM-CCD camera or an Orca II BT CCD camera can be used.
