TIC The Internet Company AG expands their Hosted Exchange offering with BlackBerry service. Customers can now choose between the well-known BlackBerry handhelds or Windows Mobile devices for wireless connectivity.

Popular for their ease of use, BlackBerry devices are now fully compatible with the Hosted Exchange service from TIC The Internet Company AG. BlackBerry service is a Premium solution for demanding customers whose needs are not fully satisfied with the conventional Windows-based SmartPhones. Advantages of the service include optimized data compression resulting in rapid data communication, secure 3DES/AES encryption and all Hosted Exchange functionality, including services such as Outlook, Webmail, mobile mail, calendaring, task lists, public files, virus and spam protection and regular backups.

“Having your own mail and BlackBerry server are no longer necessary for our customers. The service can instead be purchased as a monthly subscription,” explains Franz Grüter, president of the board of directors and CEO of TIC the Internet Company AG. “Customers benefit from substantial cost savings as well as continuous access to the latest technologies,” he continues. The Hosted Exchange and BlackBerry server farm is operated by TIC in one of their world-class data centers.

TIC The Internet Company AG enables mobile access to task management, calendars and email for any user of a BlackBerry device. Using either these or the broad variety of Windows Mobile SmartPhones, the user has constant and simple access to all of his or her personal data.

Normally companies utilize their own servers with BlackBerry solutions. Thanks to the Hosted Exchange BlackBerry integration, however, this is no more necessary than having a corporate mail server. The installation and round-the-clock maintenance of the infrastructure, including anti-spam and anti-virus functionality, are provided without excessive cost by TIC. Increasing numbers of SMEs are taking advantage of the mobile outsourcing possibilities to gain a crucial advantage over their competition.

The TIC BlackBerry service can be accessed either via TIC Mobile or through another wireless provider. TIC also offers the full selection of BlackBerry devices for purchase.
