Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), the world leader in digital security, today announces that a leading European financial institution has selected its service offering to implement a large-scale picture card program. Gemalto’s CardLikeMe™ is a web-based solution that allows cardholders to customize their payment card with a photo of their choice. An easy-to-use interface lets the bank’s customers upload and edit the picture directly from their computer and order online. Gemalto provided the bank with the software solution required for processing the photograph on its website as well as consulting services. Commercial launch started at the beginning of October.
