COMPACT Series with Anti Paper Jam Function

Kiosk terminals are constantly getting more compact. For installation in many types of self-service units, GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH offers the COMPACT series printers, among others. In addition to their space saving construction, these printers now feature another attribute qualifying them for applications in public areas: a mechanism that reacts to mishandling during paper removal with the immediate interruption of the print process. In addition to high print speed of up to 200mm/s, these anti-jam units represent another effective detail for avoiding paper jams and costly damage to the printer mechanism or cutter.

Armed against Jams on Customer Request

Starting immediately, all COMPACT printers from GeBE can be equipped with an anti-jam unit upon customer request. When it comes into operation, it will interrupt the print process and stop the paper transport as soon as someone pulls at the printout or holds it tight before the printing is completed, effectively counteracting this type of mishandling by the user. This accessory makes the GeBE COMPACT printers even more ideal for applications, where frequent use by various users is expected. COMPACT series printers that are already in use can be retrofitted.

Built on Trusted Mechanics

The controller boards GCT-6794/6795, developed by GeBE and reliably controlling the extremely fast printouts, have been combined with robust printer mechanisms to form the COMPACT printers GPT-6772 /-73 for 60 or 82 mm paper widths and a paper thickness of up to 120µm. The mechanics component of the printer mechanism originates from the well-established industrial printer module family INFO from GeBE. The COMPACT printers for kiosk applications impress with their high level of reliability and their service and user friendliness. They are available with either a serial RS232 or a USB interface. The printers COMPACT PLUS for paper up to 200µm and 12-24V operating voltage are in development.
