GIGABYTE, ein führender Hersteller von Mainboards und Grafikkarten und weiteren PC-Komponenten, hat heute bekanntgegebenen, dass zahlreiche USB-3.0-Mainboards ab sofort das USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP) unterstützen. UASP ist ein neues Protokoll, das vom USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) ins Leben gerufen wurde, und den Datentransfer zu SCSI-Geräten um bis zu 20 Prozent beschleunigt. Zudem werden die CPU-Auslastung, Latenzen und Wartezeiten reduziert.
