Fries Research & Technology (FRT) hat beim Fotowettbewerb des Exzellenzclusters NRW den ersten Preis in der Kategorie "Optische Technologie" gewonnen. Prämiert wurde ein Bild, das die Untersuchung der Profilstruktur eines Metallrings mit einem 3D-Konfokalmikroskop zeigt. Die Preisübergabe fand am 4. Mai im Düsseldorfer Ministerium für Innovation, Wissenschaft, Forschung und Technologie statt.

Fotowettbewerb "NanoMikro+Werkstoffe aus NRW 2010"

Nano- und Mikrotechnologie, Innovative Werkstoffe und Optische Technologien sind Querschnittsthemen, die Antworten auf die Herausforderungen der Zukunft geben - sei es bei der Bekämpfung des Klimawandels, der Rohstoffverknappung oder bei der Ernährung der Weltbevölkerung.
