Fresenius Helios hat den Erwerb von IDC Salud Holding S.L.U. ("Quirónsalud"), dem mit Abstand größten privaten Krankenhausbetreiber in Spanien, planmäßig zum 31. Januar 2017 abgeschlossen. Quirónsalud wird ab 1. Februar 2017 konsolidiert.

5,36 Mrd € des Kaufpreises von insgesamt 5,76 Mrd € hat Fresenius bereits über verschiedene Fremdkapitalinstrumente finanziert. Die restlichen 400 Mio € werden in Form von Fresenius-Aktien erbracht. Dazu wurden heute 6.108.176 neue Aktien der Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA aus genehmigtem Kapital unter Ausschluss des Bezugsrechts der Aktionäre ausgegeben.
