Freescale Semiconductor, a leading supplier of embedded silicon, is demonstrating a wide array of products and technologies, from analog to ZigBee® technology, at Embedded World, February 26 - 28. Freescale solutions on display at the conference target a broad range of embedded applications, including consumer and industrial, multimedia, wireless, networking and automotive system designs.

"Freescale silicon and software solutions handle the complexities of embedded designs so that developers are free to innovate and differentiate their products," said Steve Wainwright, vice president of sales and marketing and general manager, Freescale EMEA. "Our highly integrated semiconductor products and development platforms, showcased this week at Embedded World, help embedded developers reduce complexity and component count, lower cost, improve performance and speed time-to-market."

Highlights of Freescale s hands-on demonstrations at Booth 9-335 in Hall 9 include:
- Flexis microcontroller (MCU) series of ultra-low-power 8-bit to 32-bit compatible devices
- 32-bit ColdFire® MCUs for USB and Ethernet connectivity in consumer and industrial applications
- PowerQUICC® II Pro and PowerQUICC III integrated communications processors for industrial and advanced networking applications
- Ultra-low-power ARM-based solutions running Windows® CE 6.0 and Linux® OS
- ZigBee and 802.15.4-compliant wireless connectivity solutions
- MEMS-based accelerometers, pressure sensors and smart sensors
- Portable, general-purpose analog power management solutions
- CodeWarrior® software development tools featured on 8-bit to 32-bit solutions for consumer, industrial and advanced networking applications
- AUTOSAR software for automotive body and chassis systems
- Multicore software development using StarCore® DSPs
- IEEE® 1588 clock synchronization on PowerQUICC and ColdFire platforms running IXXAT software stacks

A centerpiece of Freescale s booth will be a concept car that demonstrates the latest innovations in body electronics, safety systems, powertrain management, telematics and infotainment. In addition, the company will demonstrate a robotic arm control system based on a 32-bit ColdFire MCU, the CAN protocol and an RF interface.
