(PresseBox) ( Porta Westfalica, )
Dipl.-Kfm. Patrick Jacob (35) will be taking over the commercial management of Jacob Söhne GmbH & Co. KG in April 2012 as the successor of Dipl.-Kfm. Ralf W. Borcherding (49), who is leaving the company after 18 years at his own request on 31.03.2012 in order to pursue a new professional challenge.

As well as managing the company's commercial operations, Patrick Jacob will also be responsible for its global operations. This means that, in its fourth generation, the company's management will yet again include a member of its founding family.

Patrick Jacob has been working in various management functions for a number of well-known financial institutions in Germany and abroad over the past 10 years. He has already been actively involved in the company's development through his membership of the shareholders meeting.

Dr.-Ing. Uwe Braun (47) will continue as before to manage the Group's technical operations.

With Dr. Uwe Braun and Patrick Jacob being part of the company's top management, the company is securing and continuing its over 80-year tradition of being a family-owned company. Between them, the company and its international subsidiaries are currently employing around 350 staff. As well operating production facilities in Italy and the German Federal State of Brandenburg, the company also has distribution centres in France, the UK and the USA. At the moment, JACOB products are being sold by more than 40 agents in more than 35 different countries.
