Jülich und die Uniklinik Aachen kooperieren

Das Forschungszentrum Jülich und die Uniklinik der RWTH Aachen schlossen im Juli einen Kooperationsvertrag. Damit verbunden ist die Berufung von Prof. Karl-Josef Langen vom Jülicher Institut für Neurowissenschaften und Medizin, Bereich Physik der Medizinischen Bildgebung (INM-4), auf eine Professur in der Klinik für Nuklearmedizin der Uniklinik. Beide Partner erhoffen sich von der Zusammenarbeit neue Erkenntnisse in der Diagnostik und Therapie von Erkrankungen, zum Beispiel von Hirntumoren.

Jülich bringt in die Verbindung zum einen seine modernen bildgebenden Geräte ein, die einzigartige Einblicke in den menschlichen Körper gewähren, so zum Beispiel seine Kombinationsgeräte aus Positronenemissions- und Magnetresonanztomografie.
