Die neue LM8805 Serie von First Components International präsentiert Low-Dropout Spannungsregler, die speziell für batteriebetriebene Geräte entwickelt wurden. Durch den geringen Stromverbrauch von typisch 50µA erhöht sich die Batterielebensdauer erheblich. Im "Shutdown"-Betrieb reduziert sich der Stromverbrauch auf 1µA. Der geringe Leistungsverbrauch und die hohe Genauigkeit werden durch CMOS-Technologie und programmierbare "Fuse Technologies" erreicht. Die LM8805 Serie beinhaltet sowohl einen Übertemperatur- als auch Überstromschutz. Das erste Bauteil dieser Serie hat einen 3,3 V 600 mA Ausgang und ist in drei SMD-Gehäuseformen verfügbar: SOT-23-5(300mW), SOT-89-5 (500mW) sowie SOT-223 (625mW).
