EUROPA(TM) the fi rst commercial MHz OPA

Wien, (PresseBox) - FEMTOLASERS now presents the fi rst MHz Optical Parametric Amplifi er (OPA) directly pumped by the proven FEMTOSOURCE(TM) XL oscillator. The versatile system delivers tens of nJ pulse energy in the MIR spectral range at a repetition rate of 5 MHz. An optional SHG module is available for the signal beam and provides tuneable pulses in the visible range.

The high repetition rate of the system signifi cantly reduces data aquisition times and noise, a huge advantage especially for imaging applications.

The use of an oscillator as pump source obliviates the need of a complex amplifi er system and signifi cantly reduces operating complexity and total cost of ownership.
