FBGS announces Strategic Partnership with 4DSP LLC

4DSP's Fiber Optic Sensing System (FOSS) was developed in conjunction with NASA Dryden Flight Research Center and acknowledged with R&D Magazine's prestigious 2013 R&D 100 Award. The Fiber Optic Sensing System is now used in many different industries to revolutionise structural health monitoring, where very high density sensor networks are required on a single optical fiber.

Although developed to serve the aerospace industry, applications in automotive, oil and gas, medical devices and wind energy have been established. This new technology offers real-time knowledge of the behavior of the component or entire structure, giving engineers the ability to optimise designs following FEA and other software tools used in the evaluation of new materials for longer, safer in-service life.
