Pharmaceutical Flow Cytometry & Imaging show 2012

Idstein, (PresseBox) - Our bi-annual Pharmaceutical Flow Cytometry & Imaging show, took us to AstraZeneca's superb Conference facilities at Alderley Park, Cheshire, where over 300 people had pre-registered to attend.

A really excellent Speaker Programme was put together by the Scientific Committee, who did an outstanding job of producing the right mix of innovative talks, science and new technologies. The exhibitors filled the hall and the whole show had a real buzz.

Excitement and expectation was raised when J. Paul Robinson of the Purdue University, USA secured a place on the Speaker programme. Presenting to a full auditorium he talked about 'Reducing High Throughput & High Content Flow Cytometry data to a useful and meaningful solution in a fast, interactive way', which was very well received.

The feedback has all been very positive making this bi-annual meeting one to pencil in the dairies for 2014.

33 vendor companies attended, with over 270 delegates over the 2 days. There were 17 Poster abstracts at this show. We want to encourage more Scientists and Students to present posters. It is very easy, send in a short Abstract to posters@elrig.org - after approval, bring it along to the show where your allocated space will be waiting for you. Posters are a great asset to all our shows, bring yours along to our 2013 meetings.

At the end of Day 2, after collecting in all the Feedback Forms in, the company winning the New Technology Prize was Essen Biosciences. This is voted for by the Delegates and was presented to Del Trezise by Terry Wood, ELRIG Chairman. (Pic 1)

Cheers filled the auditorium when Steve Ludbrook of GSK, won The Amazon voucher, prize draw, for filling in the feedback form, he was really pleased. Well done Steve, it was worth staying until the end of the show. (Pic 2)

We really look forward to our 2013 meetings and hope you will be able to join us in March for the first meeting of 2013.
