Wie eSymetric-Geschäftsführer Tom Henne heute in München ankündigte, wird die Sportsoftware „Run.GPS“ für das Handy-Betriebssystem Android portiert. Die Arbeiten daran seien bereits in vollem Gange und mit der endgültigen Version könne im vierten Quartal 2008 gerechnet werden.

Android ist ein Betriebssystem für mobile Geräte wie Mobiltelefone und Smartphones. Es wird von der Open Handset Alliance entwickelt, zu der bekannte Firmen wie T-Mobile, Intel, Motorola, Samsung und eBay gehören. Initiiert wurde das Projekt von der Firma Google mit dem Ziel, eine offene Plattform für mobile Geräte zu entwickeln.
