Der schwedische Netzwerk- und Enterprise-Spezialist Ericsson hat seinen mobilen PIM und E-Mail-Push-Dienst verbessert: In der neuen Version der Software "Ericsson Mobile Organizer 5.1" (EMO) können Smartphone und PDA noch besser und schneller mit E-Mails umgehen, die auf dem zentralen Firmen-Mailserver liegen. Dabei erfolgt der Zugang über eine sichere 128 bit Ende-zu-Ende Verbindung. E-Mail-Abruf und -Senden, der Abgleich von Kalenderdaten und persönlichen Kontakten, der Zugriff auf das Adressverzeichnis im zentralen Mailserver sowie die Meeting-Funktionen werden optimiert. Jede Veränderung in den persönlichen Daten auf dem Endgerät wird beim Abgleich umgehend auf dem Firmensystem abgebildet und umgekehrt.
