The EMEA Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) - the leading organisation in Europe, Middle-East and Africa for distribution and manufacturing in the mechanical power transmission and motion control (PT/MC) sector - recently welcomed four more A-brand manufacturers to its community of members. GGB Heilbronn GmbH, Hanning Elektro Werke, and Ringfeder Power Transmission GmbH from Germany and finally Webster Industries, Inc. from the USA joined the league in the past two months, convinced of the added value their membership would generate for their business and professional development.

Matt Kite, Distribution Manager Europe at GGB Heilbronn GmbH, explains: "EPTDA is an excellent platform to reach the wider PT community. It allows our company to acknowledge the great work of our distribution partners as well as providing a forum to raise awareness across the community as a whole. I am confident that the EPTDA will prove to be of mutual benefit as GGB Heilbronn GmbH builds on and leverages our solutions based approach in the diverse European PT market,'' GGB Bearing Technology, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, is the global leader in high performance bearing solutions for a wide variety of market sectors - Aerospace, Agricultural, Automotive, Compressors, Construction, Energy, Fluid Power, General Industrial, Primary Metals and Recreation.

Hanning Elektro-Werke has more than 60 years of experience and expertise gained as a global specialist for customer-specific drive systems and components. Its product line ranges from AC and three-phase motors, linear actuators, frequency inverters and fan drives through to drain and circulation pumps. Michael Lühmann, Head of Export, comments: "We decided to join the EPTDA network because of the vast opportunities to get in touch with distributors and other companies interested in our tailor-made drive solutions for various applications like textile machinery, laboratory equipment, water handling, general purpose manufacturing systems and many more. Moreover we are interested in the tight cooperation with the EPTDA's affiliate organisation and network PTDA."

Andrew J. Felter, President & CEO of Webster Industries, Inc. adds: "We are excited to be on board with EPTDA. We joined EPTDA to develop new and strengthen established relationships with business partners. At Webster we have a goal to build our brand reputation of quality and service beyond North America. We believe being a part of a leading group, like EPTDA, will help us better serve our global customers and provide greater value in the products we produce through the services EPTDA provides. We are looking forward to experiencing the full benefits of our membership."

Ringfeder Power Transmission GmbH, the fourth manufacturer to join, is one of the leading manufacturers of premium components in the fields of driving and shock-absorbing technology. International subsidiaries and representatives worldwide serve customers around the globe with their know-how and experience. Their product range encompasses GERWAH (high-precision couplings for driving technology and conveying engineering); RINGFEDER (innovative locking devices, damping elements as well as special solutions for individual power transmission needs); and ECOLOC series (a cost-efficient alternative from the premium range available for standard use).

"EPTDA will continue its membership growth efforts, especially within distribution, in Western Europe, as well as emerging markets. Turkey is a great example, as we will be hosting two major events in Istanbul in 2014 - an EPTDA Pavilion & Industry Reception at the WIN Automation Fair in March; and the organisation's Annual Convention in September - an unparalleled business event for PT/MC industry executives," Julie Hanson, Director Member Services, EPTDA comments.
