Pünktlich zur Urlaubszeit gibt es gute Nachrichten für Sylt-Liebhaber: Der E.ON-Netzbetreiber Schleswig-Holstein Netz (SH Netz) macht die Stromversorgung auf der Insel noch sicherer und hat jetzt mit der Verlegung eines Seekabels vom Festland nach Sylt begonnen. Die letzte noch verbleibende Freileitung auf der Insel wird durch ein rund 15 Kilometer langes und 800 Tonnen schweres Kabel ersetzt.

SH Netz betreibt bislang drei Hochspannungskabel zur Versorgung der Insel Sylt. Das neue Seekabel wird zwei alte Kabel ersetzen, ein weiteres hat SH Netz bereits verlegt.
