EnviTec Group convinces German Energy Agency jury
Innovative business model "From stalk to radiator" wins award
Green heat direct from the generator
In 2011 EnviTec Biogas added a fourth business area to its portfolio with EnviTec Energy and its wholly owned subsidiary EnviTec Stromkontor. The latest business segment in the EnviTec portfolio is dedicated to the direct marketing and purchase and sale of bio natural gas, closing a gap in the generation of bio natural gas from renewable raw materials to the radiator. The company is thus tapping all the value adding possibilities of the updated German Renewable Energies Act (EEG) for its customers and also third party plant owners.
"With our concept we are offering green heat direct from the generator and as a company we are sustainably increasing demand for biomethane to make a climate neutral contribution to the electricity and heating market," continued Gayer. EnviTec Biogas AG is thus the first biogas plant constructor to cover the whole value added chain from the stalk to the radiator with its innovative integrated business model. This also convinced the jury, which evaluated all the proposals submitted for their innovative character and unique selling propositions in particular.
Biogas partnership competition
The award, which has been given for the fifih time, was presented on 28 November at the "biogas partner conference" organised by dena in Berlin. dena organises the "Biogas partner competition" as part of the "biogas partner" project.
The aim of the competition is honouring innovative and sustainable projects for feeding biogas into the natural gas network as well as innovative products, services, business models and distribution concepts concerning biogas feed-in. The prize is awarded in a total of three categories: in addition to EnviTec as the only industrial company, the operators of the Osterby biomethane plant in Schleswig-Holstein were honoured with the "Biogas partnership of 2012" prize for their partnership concept. The biogas plant operator Bioerdgas Hallertau won the "Innovation Prize 2012" for the worldwide first use of hops residues for generating biomethane.

EnviTec Biogas AG covers the entire value chain for the production of biogas: including the planning and turnkey construction of biogas plants as well as their commissioning. The company takes charge of biological and technical services on demand and also offers full plant and operational management. In addition, EnviTec also operates its own biogas plants. In 2011 EnviTec Biogas established EnviTec Energy GmbH & Co. KG and its 100% subsidiary EnviTec Stromkontor GmbH & Co. KG, expanding its business operations into the direct marketing of upgraded biomethane as well as the marketing of green electricity and balancing energy.
