Public Stakeholder Workshop on Network Codes on Load Frequency Control and Reserves and Electricity Balancing, 7 May in Brussels
These two network codes are closely interrelated, addressing technical requirements and market solutions to establish cross-border balancing mechanisms in Europe. Beyond the discussion on the individual codes, this joint workshop aims to clarify the interface and interdependencies between them.
For the Network Code on Load Frequency Control and Reserves, this workshop forms part of the public consultation process and will provide stakeholders with the opportunity to discuss their views on an updated draft and during a Q&A session. The updated draft network code as well as supporting material will be available in advance of the meeting on the ENTSO-E website.
For the Network Code on Electricity Balancing, this workshop provides the first opportunity to present the draft network code to a wider stakeholder group. Focus will be on the main concepts and mechanisms defined in the network code and the next steps towards public consultation in the summer of 2013. The draft network code will be available in advance of the meeting on the ENTSO-E website.
This public stakeholder workshop will be held on 7 May 2013 from 09:45 to 17:00 at Thon Hotel EU, Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat 75, 1040 Brussels. (Thon Hotel EU)
Participants should register for the workshop by indicating their full names, contact details and organisation to Ms Pilar Munoz-Elena by 30 April 2013.
