Network Code on Requirements for Grid Connection Applicable to all Generators to be submitted to ACER on 14 July

Brussels, (PresseBox) - On 26 June, the ENTSO-E Annual Assembly unanimously approved the Network Code Requirements for Grid Connection Applicable to all Generators. The Assembly brought minor changes to the code published on 15 June, which were discussed in the last stakeholder user group meeting on 28 June 2012 along with the supporting documentation of the code.

The stakeholder user group meeting on 28 June confirmed that the code has improved significantly since the web-based public consultation ENTSO-E conducted from 24 January to 20 March, and discussed the remaining concerns in view of ENTSO-E's supporting documentation on the code.

The minutes of the stakeholder user group meeting, the corresponding stakeholder feedback and the supporting documentation form a relevant part of the basis for ACER's opinion on the network code. Therefore, in response to a request by ENTSO-E, on 29 June, the Commission extended the deadline for submission of the network code to ACER, by two weeks, until 14 July 2012, thus enabling ENTSO-E to include the minutes of the stakeholder user group meeting in the final network code package of 29 June.

The NC RfG package public release, on 14 July, will comprise the following documents:

- The final Network Code
- Paper on "NC RfG in view of the future European electricity system and the Third Package network codes"
- Evaluation of consultation comments
- NC RfG Frequently Asked Questions
- NC RfG justification outlines
- NC RfG requirements in the context of present practices
