Date Announced for TYNDP 2014 3rd Party Transmission and Storage Project Submissions

Brussels, (PresseBox) - ENTSO-E has today announced the re-opening of the submission window for 3rd party transmission and storage projects in the 2014 Ten Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP).

Submissions will be accepted from: 23 September 2013-20 October.

Following the mandate of the new Regulation (EU) 347/2013 – under which the TYNDP is the sole base for the PCI (storage and transmission) selection, ENTSO-E has updated its procedure for inclusion of 3rd party projects in the TYNDP 2014 and opened a second submission window from 23 September-20 October 2013.

All interested promoters of transmission and storage projects, particular PCI promoters, are invited to submit their projects to ENTSO-E within the notified timeframe. The submission should be made by email to and include the technical and legal documentation as outlined in the updated procedure.

In a change from the initial 3rd party procedure (published on 21 January 2013), the current version now also incorporates the criteria for inclusion in the TYNDP of relevant electricity storage projects.

The new procedure and associated documents will be available on the ENTSO-E website from 23 September. For any preliminary questions, please contact the ENTSO-E Secretariat at:

Note: Promoters whose projects were accepted in the first submission window are not required to resubmit their projects. Promoters that submitted incomplete documentation in the first call must complete their application in order to be included in the TYNDP 2014.
