Today Elektrobit (EB), a visionary global supplier of embedded and connected software products for the automotive industry, announced the general availability of its augmented reality (AR) software framework, EB arware. This augmented reality software toolkit allows the creation of AR displays that enable safer driving and improve the overall driving experience.

With EB arware, human-machine interface (HMI) developers can create solutions that add AR information to a vehicle’s head-up display (HUD). This includes data that complements existing navigation information, such as showing distances between cars or marking driving lanes to assist lane departure features.
