Matias Collan Appointed As Partner At Earlybird Venture Capital
Mr. Collan has been the company's Chief Operating Officer since 2010. He oversees Earlybird's corporate, fund related, legal and other operational matters. Furthermore, Mr. Collan is involved in selected investment and disinvestment processes, such as the recent merger of Purple Labs SA into publicly listed Esmertec AG (later Myriad Software Group) and the subsequent sale of Earlybird's Myriad investment to the same group.

Before joining Earlybird as a Venture Partner in 2008, Mr. Collan worked in investment banking (Lazard; Dresdner Kleinwort) for six years, advising on various types of corporate finance transactions, in particular M&A deals (sell-side and buy-side, both listed and non-listed companies). He started his career at one of Germany's leading law firms CMS Hasche Sigle in Frankfurt. Mr. Collan holds a Master of German Law.
