Enrique Barrientos appointed CEO of the EADS Defence & Security Division in Spain

Ottobrunn, (PresseBox) - Enrique Barrientos Blanco (47) has been appointed, from 1 April 2008, CEO of the EADS Defence & Security Division in Spain, replacing Pablo de Bergia who will retire. In his new function, Enrique Barrientos will be responsible for the activities of the Division in Spain, reporting to the CEO of Military Air Systems, and for overarching Spanish activities, reporting to the CEO of EADS Defence & Security, Dr. Stefan Zoller.

Enrique Barrientos, up until now, has been the Chief of Staff of the EADS Defence & Security Office in Munich and was previously Head of Political Affairs EADS CASA. Prior to this, he was Vice President Corporate Development and held several other executive positions in different areas of the company. Since he joined EADS CASA he has gathered experience mainly in the area of Sales & Marketing as well as at Airbus. He is an aeronautical engineer and has a masters degree in Business Management and Administration from IESE Business School.
