To clearly demonstrate the advantages of compact machines, BOY will be present this year at the Chinaplas (April 18-21) in Hall E 1 - Booth E01. BOY, the manufacturer of injection moulding machines with clamping forces up to 1.000 kN, will prove impressively its qualification in this market segment. BOY will demonstrate a BOY XS (100 kN clamping force) and a BOY 35 E (350 kN clamping force) equipped with a servo drive.

Ultra compact, reliable and highly precise

The BOY XS provides high efficiency in a very small space. With a footprint of only 0,8 m² and a stroke volume of 0,1 cm³ to 8,0 cm³, high precision parts can be produced in a 24/7 industrial environment. During the fair, the production of mini-osteosynthesis platens will be demonstrated. "With this application, we can demonstrate the ideal use of our BOY XS in a clean room", says Mr. Klaus Engel, Export Manager of BOY.

Maximum efficiency due to sprueless part production

Another advantage is sprueless, single-cavity injection moulding. The efficient sprueless injection moulding technique will be demonstrated on a BOY XS using a specially developed nozzle. The nozzle injects directly into the cavity thereby producing a sprueless part. Cost-intensive mould specific hot runner systems can be eliminated. Due to the nozzle design, parts can be produced precisely and economically. The sprueless system helps to save energy, material and cycle time.

To produce more efficient

A BOY 35 E will produce protective caps in a sixteen-cavity mould. Equipped with an energy efficient servo drive system and the high end full touch Procan ALPHA control, the BOY 35 E will impress attendees with its precision, dynamics and quietness. The cantilevered, two-platen clamping unit with generous tie bar and platen clearances provides sufficient space for large moulds. With a footprint of only 1,9 m², the four-tie bar injection moulding machine sets new standards in its tonnage range. With a maximum injection volume of 76,5 cm³, the BOY 35 E meets all requirements for the production of technically sophisticated and precise parts.

Since the introduction of the servo motor pump drive in 2008, more and more users have selected this energy efficient machine type. They benefit with each cycle from lower energy consumption. With energy savings of up to 75 % when compared to other drive technologies, the machines of the BOY E-Series can substantially reduce costs.

Due to the multi-patented Procan ALPHA control, standard on all BOY machines, combined with the new servo drive technology, BOY sees itself well prepared for the important Chinese market.
