Die Münchener Firma DOSCH & AMAND SYSTEMS AG kündigt die Erweiterung ihres Produktportfolios um Voice-over-IP-Funktionen an. Das Unternehmen unterscheidet dabei zwischen Computer-gestützten und Stand-alone Lösungen. In beiden Fällen können damit europaweit über 200 Mio.installierte DECT-Telefone zur schnurlosen Internet-Telefonie eingesetzt werden.

Bei der Computer-gestützten Variante wird ein PC mit COM-ON-AIR® DECT-Controller (PCI oder PCMCIA) ausgestattet und fungiert als „DECT “-Vermittlungsstelle ins Internet. Jedes handelsübliche DECT-Handset kann an diesen „DECT-PC“ angemeldet werden und VoIP-Verbindungen aufbauen.
