Milestone in the IEPE acceleration measurement: Now up to 650 °C!

The new Dytran high-temperature accelerometers have been specially designed for high-temperature applications. The patented Silver WindowTM technology hermetically seals the sensor from the surrounding environment at room temperature, but is permeable to Oxygen at the high temperatures at which this is required. The components are mechanically and thermally tuned to allow much higher temperature gradients and smaller size without risking damage.

With the new single-axis 3335C high-temperature accelerometer, it is now possible to measure in ranges up to 650 °C (with short time excursions even up to 760 °C). The base-isolated and hermetically sealed sensor weights only 35 grams and has a frequency range of up to 2,500 Hz at a sensitivity of 1-2 pC / g. It is equipped with an integrated hardline cable.

Typical applications are, for example, environmental stress screening (ESS), HALT / HASS tests and vibration measurements in high-temperature environments, such as the testing of gas and steam turbines for power generation in aircrafts, nuclear power plant testing, exhaust gas and catalytic studies and automotive engine tests.

Other, even smaller sensors with connectors (3316C2) are available as well, including various triaxial solutions.
